SAP

Quintel’s principle is to offer premium services to our clients in SAP implementations, validated by our SAP Active Quality Management accreditation in 2011.  Quintel is a provider of Management Consulting and IT services that specializes in performance for utilities (IOUs, Cooperatives, Districts, Federal Government and Municipalities) (electric, water, wastewater, gas, power generation).  All of our consultants have over 15 years of utility consulting experience and project management skills. IT services include software selection, business case and project plan development and full system integration services for CIS, ERP, EAM and Mobile Data functionality.  Management consulting services include, process improvement, strategic sourcing, market analysis, business case development and organizational development. We have significant experience in both the public and private sectors, and have identified substantial efficiency and cost saving measures resulting in savings in the multi-million dollar range annually. As our group of consultants includes strategists, performance experts, CIS, ERP and EAM experts and IT specialists, economists, transaction advisors, and financial analysts, we are uniquely positioned to provide our clients the range of skills and experience required to meet the challenges of today’s market, as well as, the future of the utility market.

Our near-term   focus is on SAP implementations and meeting the new needs of AMI. We will continue that focus and keep refining our methods so that we can offer the best implementation services possible. Quintel works closely with SAP, and we both understand the shift to a deregulated, more efficient energy market.  We understand that it must be possible to integrate volatile and distributed energy sources and to provide the critical links between energy grid operations, dynamic energy markets, and utility consumers.

Quintel is an established partner with SAP and will support the steps they are taking for enabling a smarter grid and energy efficiency.  SAP recently came out with the SAP AMI Integration for Utilities software that displays cost-to-serve modeling and related carbon emissions impact.  This provides utilities with the ability to monitor their costs, to service their customers, modeling how to reduce these costs and the related environmental impact with reduction of carbon dioxide emissions.  Thus promoting improved energy efficiencies to customers by linking sales, service and billing processes within SAP CRB for Utilities package to the capabilities of AMI technology.

Quintel Management Consultants uses a proven process to assist organizations with the planning of new IT systems or for the integration of existing systems following a merger or acquisition. Our group specializes in SAP audits and reviews, program management of SAP implementation, customer information reviews and implementations. Our approach and developed tools for these applications are described below.

2. Confirm the Business Process – Categorize processes and link to critical success factors

3. Define the IT Needs – Conduct needs analysis based on interviews and Quintel expertise and case experience.

4. Analyze the IT Area – Determine the adequacy of the information, the information technology and the priorities.

5. Complete the Gap Analysis – Determine if critical information needs are being met. Does system redundancy exist? Do other innovative technology solutions exist?

6. Develop an Integration Plan – Develop a road map to move to a new IT environment. Transfer knowledge and develop performance measures.

7. Manage and Implement the Plan and Implementation

Quintel has received the certificate of a new global quality accreditation program by SAP AG (NYSE: SAP).The certificate was awarded by the SAP® Active Quality Management organization for Quintel’s demonstration of clear quality standards and processes. Through collaborative interaction with SAP, Quintel, and SAP PartnerEdge and Channel partner, helps ensure that a customer project is delivered to specification, on budget and on time.

SAP launched a new global quality accreditation program for value-added resellers (VARs) that focus on SAP Business All-in-One solutions as well as members of the SAP Extended Business program. The accreditation is awarded globally to channel partners that prove active quality management of their sales processes and delivery methodologies.

Quintel is closely aligned to the key principles of quality that SAP believes to be fundamental to the success of every implementation, designed to deliver high-quality software and support while providing the right processes, tools and services to drive successful projects and delivery.

Businesses today are continually challenged to manage risk in increasingly complex projects. As a certified member of the global quality accreditation program, Quintel will be able to help SAP customers avoid escalations, maintain profits, reduce profit dilution and improve successful delivery through the program lifecycle. In addition, the program offers a quality approach for sales processes and delivery methodologies through access to enhanced SAP channel quality templates and processes. With a distinct focus on quality deliverables, the accreditation also helps partners improve the success of bids by providing a sales differentiator from other partners through quality wording and information as well as risk mitigation activities.

“This accreditation is a credit to our team and our commitment to providing customers with a clear view of SAP’s ability to influence the success of its program,” Leslie Buttorff, President & CEO. “By using SAP quality principles, we can help ensure that our customers achieve smooth implementations as we anticipate benefits as measured against business requirements. This accreditation reaffirms the work we do to enable effective implementation of business processes using SAP solutions and to fulfill requirements to the highest standard.”

The annual partner quality plan and quarterly quality reviews form the basis for the global quality accreditation program by providing a way to monitor joint performance and measure success. Partners are required to submit an annual quality plan to showcase how they will improve quality in their own organization during the year. In addition, the quarterly quality review enables joint risk monitoring via open bilateral communication as well as identifying and preventing issues.

“At SAP, we are continually striving to help customers manage the implementation of integrated software solutions, and encourage our partners to work to the principles of quality adhered to throughout SAP,” said Ian McWalter, Global Head, SAP Active Quality Management Operations. “The new global quality accreditation program allows us to work with partners such as Quintel to help ensure customers receive the necessary information to make informed decisions about their solution and implementation options, as well as realize the value of their investment early on and to its full potential.”
